Remit: Failing Server and Migration to the Cloud

Our client is a medium-sized business that relied heavily on its server infrastructure to run their operations with bespoke print costing software.

However, their existing server was outdated and starting to fail, causing significant downtime and lost productivity for the business. Additionally, the client wanted to modernize their IT infrastructure and move their systems to the cloud to improve efficiency and scalability.

Synergi IT was tasked with helping the client make the transition to the cloud, while also ensuring that their existing systems continued to function during the migration process. We began by conducting a thorough assessment of the client’s existing IT infrastructure and identified Email, Data repository and Backups needed to be migrated to the cloud.

Based on our assessment, we recommended a hybrid cloud solution that would allow the client to maintain some of their applications on-premises, while migrating others to the cloud. This approach would minimize downtime and ensure that the client’s operations could continue uninterrupted.

We then worked with the client to identify the best cloud provider and set up the necessary infrastructure to support the migration. We also helped the client select and configure the appropriate cloud-based applications to replace their existing on-premises software.

Throughout the migration process, we provided ongoing support and guidance to the client to ensure that the transition was smooth and successful. Synergi IT also helped the client develop a disaster recovery plan to ensure that their data was safe and secure in the cloud.

The result of our efforts was a successful migration to the cloud that allowed the client to modernize their IT infrastructure, improve their operations, and reduce costs. With our help, the client was able to overcome the challenges posed by their failing server and transition to a more efficient and scalable cloud-based solution.

The client has been with us now for the last 8 Years.
